This extension project in Sligo town is nearing completion. Full architectural and project delivery services is being provided for the build. The existing building was originally constructed in 1892 and is a protected structure. Due to the programme required by the client an external rear garden was not an optionand this is what drove the central concept and design brief. A central court yard was introduced and this serves as not only a transitional living space but also a private external space, something lacking in most city center terraced houses.

The extension and remodelling insludes and active ventilation and heat recovery system. It has a high leavel of home automation and is heated by an air to water heat pump.

Expected completion date late October 2023.
